Over the holidays, our daughter in New York sent us goodies from her favorite orchard store. I was thrilled because I can’t always be up there in the fall to get their super-fresh and very delicious apples, some varieties of which we don’t get down here.
Unfortunately, somehow the map saying which apples were which didn’t survive all the holiday brouhaha, so I’m not absolutely positive, but I think one called Ambrosia was recommended for tarts and baked apples and crisps. I was in the mood for an apple crisp, but then I found this recipe for Apple Crumble and….ohhhh, so yummy! I highly recommend it!
