Fabric stash to the rescue! I found this tiny print, which is a combo of red/cream/white, and carefully removed the existing cream triangles and replaced them with the print in order to provide a transition.

But still, something was missing. It still took a lot of muttering and trying out things before I finally settled on the best way to integrate this larger block into the quilt with the red/green/white Dresden plates and the red/white blocks. It was adding this green print border that finally tied things together in a way that worked for me. I hope you agree!
