Christmas Quilt

Uh-oh. A second Christmas-themed item when we just barely finished Valentine’s! This project, though, is my fill-in one and may not be finished for this Christmas, but it keeps me out of the pool hall and that’s worth something, yes?

I’ve mentioned before how much I like Dresden Plate quilt blocks. To me, they’re just so cheerful. I have amassed a bunch of Christmas fabrics, so I’m putting them to use, assembling Dresden Plates, then using embroidery to applique them onto simple white blocks. I’ll admit I don’t know exactly what I’ll do with them yet, but I also have some red and white blocks pieced by my quilting mentor that I hope to combine with these for a Christmas throw. I’ll keep you posted!
