The friend for whose grandbaby I made the Wild West quilt is going to be a grandmother again in the spring (different daughter!) This daughter asked for something related to the Rocky Mountains where she and the baby’s daddy met. So here I begin auditioning fabrics, and the flowered one (for the mountain meadow) is a scrap from my stash I’ll use to start building. I’m thinking a rectangular center panel with meadow and stream looking to mountains in the distance. We shall see….
Oh my that’s going to be fabulous!
Thank you, Donna! After some fits and starts, it’s taking shape!
I can already tell that this is going to be a gorgeous baby blanket and a very treasured heirloom.
Aw, thank you, Denise! I sure hope so. I wasn’t sure where I would start until I found that one scrap of flowers on grassy background in my stash (the power of the fabric stash is a fearsome thing!) It gave me the beginning and I’m building from there.
Dadgum autocorrect changed your name–sorry, Donise! I know to watch for that but got in a hurry!
