There aren’t many—if any—books of Susan Mallery’s I haven’t read, and she’s a guaranteed entertaining read. The Sister Effect, though, is a cut above, not only a good story with characters who’ll grab you, but it goes deep into the heart of a difficult story and doesn’t really pull punches yet remains a page-turner with romances to love. I’m impressed; I know how hard it is as a writer to tough it out with characters and circumstances you want to dodge, but she doesn’t flinch from the hard stuff yet weaves all of into a hopeful tale of people you cannot help but root for. Brava!

I read this book and I loved it. Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors. I have read most of her books. I started with the Fool’s Gold series and I was hooked.
I started with Fool’s Gold, too, Debbie! She’s written a lot of terrific stories, hasn’t she?
I just finished reading The Shallows by Holly Craig
What did you like about it, Linda? I don’t know anything about it.
