The vintage linens quilt has been put aside temporarily for another project (okay, more like 3 projects, but who’s counting?) As mentioned in my last newsletter, we’re remodeling, and new floors now without carpet need rugs, and then the quilt you’ve been using doesn’t go so well with everything else (but the rug looks awesome with the rest!)…We Interrupt This Regularly Scheduled Program… by Jean Brashear

Voila! In the middle of remodeling and packing to move out and back in while the final painting of every single wall/drawer/cabinet/closet happens, guess who decided to take a wall hanging and turn it into a coverlet? The design in the center echoes the mirror that’s on the wall opposite the bed. Here’s a picture of the mirror:

I’m not doing a ton of quilting on this for now, but I do want to get it quilted enough to hold it and then bound so that when we can move back in, the bed will work with the rest of the room. (Then I’ll see if and how much quilting I might want to add.)

So…here’s a picture of the new work in progress and then the finished quilt!

  1. Your quilt is really lovely. Very clever to repeat the mirror motif. I hope you quilt in the blue area. It would be stunning.

    • Thank you, Mary Jo! I may go back later and quilt there, but for now I have a whole house to get back from storage and put back together!

  2. Awesome! It is beautiful
